Responsible for general ledger accounting and financial reporting for legal entities that include real estate development, real estate construction and design and architecture.
Prepare and record journal entries, monitor cash accounts and prepare bank reconciliation reports, perform monthly close and prepare financial statements.
Thorough understanding of cost tracking and the periodic billing process. Work closely with the business to understand revenue and expense cycles.
Prepare invoices for billing and ensure proper recording of associated revenues. Ensure that expense billings and allocation of internal costs are captured properly on the books and records of the true owning entity.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Minimum of 7 years’ experience that includes general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Real estate and operational entity experience are highly valued.
Intermediate Excel skills, along with other Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting system is a plus.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
