Vice President | Development

QUALIFICATIONS

• Leveraging the strength of the platform and the SLR brand, the successful candidate will have proven leadership skills, an out-going and self-motivated perspective to drive new deal origination and will have strong verbal and written communication skills to manage and develop relationships with various stakeholders across SLR and third-parties within the Florida market. The Director must also have the creativity and ambition of an entrepreneur combined with financial acumen and a calculated risk-taking approach.

• Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the multifamily industry with 6+ years directly in development
  • Track record and verified referencing providing the ability to identify and close on development sites, obtain all necessary entitlements, coordinate third parties, manage the local predevelopment process, conduct and analyze due diligence and market research, and supporting the construction process, project timelines and operation of multifamily projects
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, architecture, business management, etc. and/or related field of experience or education
  • Strong financial acumen and demonstrated ability to lead profitable development projects
  • Deep relationships and knowledge of the real estate markets
  • Demonstrated ability to generate new business and strong marketing / sales skills
  • Sound business judgement and demonstrated general management and leadership skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills supported by excellent oral/written communication skills

Market competitive compensation package including base salary, star bonuses and potential for participation in project value creation.
